The Escalante River Watershed Partnership and the University of Utah –DIGIT Lab have created this policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy. This document explains what type of information is collected from you when you use our app and how that information may be used.

Gathering of Information
The Escalante River Watershed Partnership and the University of Utah –DIGIT Lab collects personally-identifying information (such as your name, e-mail address, telephone number) from the ERWP Invasives Reporter app only if you choose to provide that information to us.
The Escalante River Watershed Partnership and the University of Utah –DIGIT Lab asks users to provide the geographic location of their recording, optional photographic evidence of the invasive species, and comments concerning the invasive species or location of recording. Data recorded from the ERWP Invasives Reporter app is accessible in a publicly viewable point feature hosted online. The Escalante River Watershed Partnership and the University of Utah –DIGIT Lab also may ask visitors to provide personal information in other limited circumstances specified at the time the information is gathered.

Use of Information
The use of personally-identifying information is limited to the following: display of the location of the invasive species through a mapped point feature hosted online; hyperlinks to provided photographic evidence taken at time of recording; contact from the Escalante River Watershed Partnership to follow up on the report of an invasive species; and other uses similar to those listed in this paragraph, when our services might require it; and other purposes specified at the time the information is gathered.
The Escalante River Watershed Partnership and the University of Utah –DIGIT Lab may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or University of Utah policy, or if it believes that such action is necessary to (a) comply with law or with legal process, (b) protect against misuse or unauthorized use of the ERWP Invasives Reporter app, or (c) protect the personal safety or property of ERWP Invasives Reporter app users, the public, or University of Utah - Geography and its employees. The Escalante River Watershed Partnership and the University of Utah –DIGIT Lab may share information with contracted vendors or other collaborators, in order to meet specific business needs (such as customer communication or analyzing or enhancing the Escalante River Watershed Partnership and the University of Utah –DIGIT Lab’s service offerings). The Escalante River Watershed Partnership and the University of Utah –DIGIT Lab may share your name and address with other non-profit organizations for those organizations to use for reasons similar to the uses the Escalante River Watershed Partnership and the University of Utah –DIGIT Lab might make, as described in this policy. The Escalante River Watershed Partnership and the University of Utah –DIGIT Lab uses non-identifying aggregate information to analyze and better design the ERWP Invasives Reporter app and to share with third parties (including non-affiliated third parties) in aggregate form to provide and improve our services, including, for example usage analytics, data processing, marketing, and account management.

The Escalante River Watershed Partnership and the University of Utah –DIGIT Lab adheres to strict industry standards to secure our WEB and client applications, manage our network, and set safety policies throughout our complete organization.
The Escalante River Watershed Partnership and the University of Utah –DIGIT Lab have in place what we believe to be appropriate physical, electronic, and material procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Information collected in the ERWP Invasives Reporter online app forms is protected against unauthorized use by 256-bit or greater encryption and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security features. The SSL protocol is the recognized standard in the industry for creating an encrypted, secure connection between your web browser and a web server, such as our Site’s server. Children
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take necessary action.

Corrections to Personal Data; Opting Out
To a) correct or update any personal information in the ERWP Invasives Reporter database that you state is erroneous, b) opt-out of future communications from the Escalante River Watershed Partnership and the University of Utah –DIGIT Lab, c) request the Escalante River Watershed Partnership and the University of Utah –DIGIT Lab to make reasonable efforts to remove your personal information from the ERWP Invasives Reporter online feature, please contact University of Utah – DIGIT Lab at 801-581-3612 or e-mail info@digit.utah.edu.
